Yeyo Kitchen by Koi, Senopati

I noticed another dining spot at the same area with Colette & Lola on my first visit, on the 2nd floor to be exact. But I just found out that the place is called Yeyo.

You will be welcomed with different types of furniture, unique wooden seats inside. It was not crowded when I was there, there were just 2 tables occupied other than mine. It was good actually for me that enjoy "me" time a lot, the restaurant was quiet and not overwhelming. It is a perfect place to spend the privileged, and also good for meeting, studying or just mere browsing through internet as the internet connection was pretty good.

Coco Ichibanya, The Best Japanese Curry Rice in Town?

Having heard many excellent comments on Coco Ichibanya, I was no doubt stepping my feet into this Japanese curry rice specialty restaurant when I visited Grand Indonesia last time. Since it was opened in December 2013, it has drawn a lot of curry lovers' attention, including myself. It was almost a year opened and I only managed to have a meal there this time.

The interior has no special thing to remember; a normal wood dominated seats and tables with light texture and colour rather than thick-coloured wood which is now very popular among dining places and cafes in Jakarta. I find it very pleasant and bring a bright mood for the customers.

Having heard about it quite long time ago even before the offline store was opened, I finally got to try the famous Panna Cotta Etc.

Shirokuma at Pantai Indah Kapuk

These past 2 years, Jakarta has been bombarded with tons of dessert places and my apology I have to say that most of them are overrated. Apparently, Shirokuma is one of them. It has been opened at Pantai Indah Kapuk months ago but this was the only time I could manage to visit. Oh well, that's because I just had dinner in the area with my friends and they wanted to go there. I had been wanting to visit actually, but the long queue always successfully killed my curiosity. As usual, the Japanese specialty dessert place was packed but luckily my friends arrived earlier and manage to get seats for four of us so we did not have to be in the long waiting list.

The Authentic Turkish Cuisine - Anatolia, Kemang

OMG, I have lost count of how many days I've been in hiatus of updating my blog. Being so busy and in need of inspiration to gather myself in writing again and I am glad that I am back!

My recent restaurant visit was Anatolia at Kemang area, a restaurant that serves authentic Turkish cuisine. I was not yet familiar with the area and the road around the restaurant was quite dark and I could barely see the banner and the front door. But thank God for the GPS that patiently told me that I have arrived my destination.

Bong Kopitown : A Perfect Place for The Happiest Prisoner on Earth

In the midst of Kopitiam competition in Indonesia, Bong Kopitown has succeeded to stand out and present a remarkable identity. The tagline "The Happiest Prisoner on Earth" is reflected by the unique concept on the interior design of this restaurant chains to be prison-like. To be brief, the story begins with 3 fugitives surrender because the prison's chef serves dishes to die for.

Ikkudo Ichi at Kelapa Gading

Although, it might seem that Japanese food euphoria, especially ramen has come to the end, but there's always a space in Indonesian people for it. We can still remember the pioneer of rows of Japanese ramen at Kelapa Gading area, Hakata Ikousha, started the trend. As the competition reach the hottest level, it calmed down a little bit.

Ikkudo Ichi, a famous ramen chain in Jakarta, takes the same step by opening their branches at Kelapa Gading; Kelapa Gading Mall and .It can be said that Kelapa Gading is ramentown.

Bakmie Aboen - Located at Secluded Area but Still Packed Anyway

I don't how long this bakmie legend has been where it is now. This kedai is famous among the elders, it is proved by the eaters who come to eat their noodles are mostly gen x and of course bring along their family. Despite of its location that is quite hard to find if you are new to Pasar Baru, it's a full house even though I came after lunch hour last Sunday. It's been a long time, and feels like a nostalgia for me.

Cut Your Crap and Eat The Crab

Unique name, concept and eating method. It cannot be denied that lately many innovations in serving and making food become more and more creative. From using liquid nitrogen such as Ron's Laboratory and Elicxir to Japanese-Padang sushi fusion at Suntiang Restaurant. This time, Cut The Crab is trying to dig the our great great grandparent eating method; with hands, no spoon or any other cutlery and no plates, a nut cracker and a small hammer will only be your armor.

Mamma Rosy at Kemang

I was so grateful to finally be able to visit Mamma Rosy. And the more exciting news in addition to this is I get to eat there with IDR 300k voucher from Zomato Indonesia. It was located nicely at Kemang, the most hype hanging out place in South Jakarta and gladly to say that the restaurant itself is cozy and sophisticated. It was far beyond my expectation remembering that the actual concept is homey and comfortable which you can see from how they name the restaurant.

Childhood Nostalgia : Grand City at Sunlake Hotel

Sunlake Hotel is not only a hotel located around my house area, but it keeps some memories, especially my childhood's. I remembered that me and family used to have a fun weekend swimming there when I was in high school. Not to mention, we were staying there for some days as our area got a severe flood. It was a bad memory indeed, but we had a big family reunion at other time beside Chinese New Year or any special occasion, wasn't it good?

Good Morning Nanyang Cafe, Singapore : How Can You Resist The Wobbly Soft-Boiled Egg?

Do not leave your vacation in Singapore without having kaya toast for breakfast. Having featured in many food blogs, Good Morning Nanyang Cafe is claimed to be the best kaya toast in town. Me too, definitely think the same. Strangely, I did not purposely go and find this cafe to satisfy my craving for kaya toast, however, it can be said that we were meant to be. I passed by the famous cafe on my way to Chinatown MRT and saw their standing banner. Apparently, it is not their main branch, but who cares, we still had our breakfast there on the next day anyway.

Zhen Zhen Fish Porridge, Singapore : Why Have I just Discovered it Recently?

One of the reasons why I miss Singapore is because its local food. It's not the wanton mee or hokkien mee as honestly I do not really ship them. After a year since the last time my visit to Singapore for my graduation, I pay another visit to this country again. But this time, my culinary craving whispered its desire to discover more of local food at hawker centers.

My initial destination for Maxwell food court at Chinatown area was actually Tian Tian Chicken Rice that I had been dying to try. However, I was not lucky that day. My dream to try the best chicken rice in Singapore was indeed just a dream. The stall was closed on Monday, but I still need to satisfy my morning hunger. Since the sun was just risen that day and not many stalls were opened, me and my friend only had few options. Zhen Zhen drew our attention as the only stalls with a quite long queue, so we decided to give it a try.
