Cut Your Crap and Eat The Crab

Unique name, concept and eating method. It cannot be denied that lately many innovations in serving and making food become more and more creative. From using liquid nitrogen such as Ron's Laboratory and Elicxir to Japanese-Padang sushi fusion at Suntiang Restaurant. This time, Cut The Crab is trying to dig the our great great grandparent eating method; with hands, no spoon or any other cutlery and no plates, a nut cracker and a small hammer will only be your armor.

This is how you eat; they will cover each dinner table with paper, serve all your orders on it and give you a napkin to prevent your clean and clear clothes from the messy table and your dirty hands. Like its name, Cut The Crab, of course, serves crab and other seafood. There are some choices of size when you order crabs, from the smallest 8 ounces until 2.5 kgs the biggest. That day we ordered the 2.5 kgs (around IDR 600k) and crayfish with corn on the cob. They offer two choices of sauce, cajun or garlic butter. The seafood was perfectly cooked, but nothing special actually. However, the sauce was superb, strong garlic flavour, well seasoned and the butter made it so creamy. I could not stop scooping the sauce with my empty crab shells and keep licking my fingers.

Oh well, despite the decent food, I hope they can move to a bigger place to occupy many more crab lovers as their current kiosk is too small.
