Everyone has their own preference for what kind of coffee they have, including myself that as time goes by surprisingly I am now be able to tolerate stronger and bitter coffee than before, although I still only opt for milk-ish coffee rather than black coffee or espresso alone.

Food Hunt on Hari Raya: Cong Sim Athek Mangga Besar
It's pretty difficult to find available eateries on Hari Raya, especially those outside malls. Me and my friend just didn't feel like going to malls to eat that day and decided to take a look around Mangga Besar area to satisfy our tummy. We intended to have Bakso Akiaw initially but apparently they were still in the holiday mood. Therefore, we headed to other opened stalls which are all Medan food and not halal. Well, eventually it's the best choice for Hari Raya holiday.

(BALI TRIP) When The Naughty Have Become Wild
I was not aware that Hogs Wild in Bali was a renamed
naughty nuri's. We was actually trying to find the latter but couldn't
find the exact. After convinced by the staffs that we have found what we
were looking for, we came in with no doubt.
The ambiance was comfortable without showing much fanciness. The decor and interior were easy in the eye and simple. We ordered the most recommended and well-known dishes from nuri's, pork ribs and pork chop. Surprisingly, the pork ribs was ALOT cheaper than other contender I tried. Well, I was hoping the taste also shared the same positive effect as the price.

Brownbag, Menteng Central: Finally Got to Try This Sandwich Cafe
As the title I put above, yes,
finally I got the chance to visit the cafe yesterday and had the
sandwiches. The place itself decorated like typical usual cafe found in
Jakarta. It's quite cozy with outdoor seats as an option for those who
would like to watch the Jakarta's traffic more closely, both vehicles
and human. haha.
Other
than sandwiches, they also serve dishes that a western restaurant
normally has, from appetizer such as salads to main courses (steaks,
fish and chips etc) and desserts. Besides, as a cafe at the same time,
of course, coffee beverage and lattes can also be found here.

The Juicy Umami Burger at Umabo
I rarely have a visit to restaurants around Kebayoran Baru area for they are so ridiculously jammed, humanly and vehicle-ly. But this time, they should be quite thankful (hey, who am I?) I spared my time to have dinner at one of them before I headed to a wedding party nearby.
Using the ultimate road assistant, google map on my phone, I arrived at the unfamiliar destination, Umabo, safe and sound. It's not actually located at the heart of crowd but quite dark and secluded area. The restaurant itself empty when I stepped in but not long afterwards a couple and a family came in to have their night meal too.

restaurants that using tanamera blend for their coffee drink. But I
didn't order the coffee on my last visit, I opted for the taro latte
instead.

The Savoury, Sweet, Sour and Famous Soto Mie Karang Anyar
Do you think rendang is the best Indonesian food? Well, it was so good indeed and it has been crowned as the best dish in the world according to CNN Travel's Worlds 50 Best Food in 2011 voted by the readers. However, it is injustice to leave out many other traditional Indonesian food of the best food lists. The "others" include soto mie, which I will talk about in this post.
To be honest, I never really liked eating soto mie as most of the soto mie I ate was rather bland and additional risol to my soto mie would be really helpful. Therefore, when my sister decided to eat at Soto Mie Karang Anyar, I was a bit skeptical yet couldn't do much about it. Actually I have tried it before though, at the first branch (or the only branch at that time) when I was in primary but I barely remember how it tastes.
Now they have expanded to Kelapa Gading, one of the most visit culinary destination. The situation is still the same, the crowd grew when the time close to lunch hours. Does it prove the soto mie is worth to try?

Sunter has been bombarded with hangout places for youngsters, especially after food centrum and green lake complex has been built completely. It means, happy me! As I was quite struggling to find one and Sunter has been named to be famous for chinese and indonesian cuisine for long time. So, I have the reason to be happy, don't I?

Bun N Bite, Kelapa Gading
Bun n Bite, a recent hippest place in Kelapa Gading. I have heard about
all the goodness about it especially the famous heart attack burger and
finally gather my guts to visit for the first time weeks ago. It's
located at boulevard raya area with not a really spacious building but
packed with customers. Consists of 2 floors area where the 2nd is filled
with mostly smokers and alcohol lovers and 1st floor used for
non-smoking and normal dining area.
